Independent summary

The Classic E24 is a distinctly hands-on alternative to assisted machines. Its 120cc lead-free brass boiler, stainless-steel filter holder, solenoid valve and manual steam wand favour direct control over automation. The exact INOX RI9481/11E machine was £549 from the official UK distributor when checked; paired with the recorded £369 Eureka Mignon Specialità, the practical starting setup is about £918 before scales and accessories.

Best for

Espresso enthusiasts who want a simple, traditional machine and are comfortable managing brew-to-steam transitions themselves

Watch out for

There is no grinder, automatic dosing, PID temperature display or hands-free milk. As a single-boiler machine it cannot brew and steam at the same time; after steaming, the manual requires dispensing water to cool the boiler before the next coffee. The steam wand should be wiped and purged after every use, filters washed daily and the manual specifies descaling every two months. The official store advertises a five-year parts warranty, but full labour, return and eligibility terms are not yet normalized. Warm-up, noise, energy, repairability and cup quality still need independent testing, so no CoffeeScore is published.

Why a grinder is included

This machine has no built-in grinder. The connected baseline grinder is included because freshly ground coffee cannot be made without one. It is a compatible starting point, not the only suitable choice. Beans, capsules, filters, milk, scales, cleaning products and optional accessories are excluded. Retailer prices and stock can change before checkout.

What else you need

Required purchases, useful extras and later care supplies are kept separate. A connected product is an evidenced option—not a paid placement or the only valid choice.
