De'Longhi Rivelia LatteCremavsDe'Longhi Eletta Explore

Both are current De’Longhi automatic-milk bean-to-cup machines with profiles and iced drinks. Rivelia prioritises compact bean switching; Eletta Explore adds separate hot and cool milk carafes, a larger menu, app support and travel-mug capacity.

The recorded £300 premium buys different milk hardware, menu breadth and capacity. It does not establish better coffee, milk, cleaning, noise, reliability or value without comparable testing.

Main trade-offDo not mistake this .55 automatic-milk model for the cheaper .35 manual-frother Rivelia: the interface, milk hardware and drink count differ. At 24.5cm it is fairly narrow, but the 43cm depth and access to its 1.4L tank still need checking. Bean switching is guided rather than instant because beans below the removable hopper must be brewed or ground away. Run the carafe CLEAN rinse after milk use, dismantle it regularly, hand-rinse the removable infuser monthly and budget for optional water filters and descaler. The optional LatteCrema Cool kit is a separate purchase. Independent taste, temperature, noise, energy and reliability tests are pending, so no CoffeeScore is published. This is a large, deep and maintenance-heavy convenience machine: allow for its 45cm depth, access to the 1.8-litre tank and storage for two milk carafes. The under-five-minute Cold Brew figure and café-quality language are manufacturer claims, not independent testing. Run the carafe CLEAN function after milk sessions, dismantle and wash the carafes regularly, hand-rinse the removable infuser at least monthly and allow roughly 40 minutes plus rinses for descaling. The separate ECAM452.67.G is not the same model. Independent taste, temperature, noise, energy and reliability testing is pending, so no CoffeeScore is published.

What could ownership cost?

Change the assumptions to match your household. Pod machines use the same editable capsule figure for a like-for-like scenario; the table above shows when an exact checked system example exists. Other machines use bean cost and dose. A connected grinder is included where the machine needs one.
